EgeGaz brought together the giants of the world LNG market in Izmir
The International LNG Importers Association “GIIGNL”, which has globally influential companies in the LNG market as members, held the first 2025 meetings of its technical and commercial working groups in Izmir on May 5-7 hosted by EgeGaz
Among the members of GIIGNL and providing significant contributions to supply security and diversity with Turkey’s largest gasification capacity, EgeGaz Aliağa LNG Terminal is among the leading natural gas terminals in the Mediterranean Region.
The organization, which is expected to make significant contributions to Turkey’s increasing weight in the natural gas market and its goal of becoming an energy trade center, was held with the participation of 33 terminal and commercial directors and senior representatives of leading companies from the Americas, Asia and Europe.
Participants exchanged information and best practices on technical issues, and also engaged in discussions on market dynamics and regulatory challenges related to LNG over the course of the two-day meetings.”The program, which introduced the historical values of Izmir and included a cultural tour, ended with a gala dinner and a technical tour organized at the EgeGaz Aliağa LNG Terminal.
